About me

I'm a digital marketing and social media specialist who is currently completing a PhD in Australian history. I get excited about creativity, technology and online storytelling.

My PhD research project investigates the influence of consumer culture on the Anzac Legend and Australian national identity; in particular, the ways in which an increased public fascination with the Anzac Legend since the 1980’s has been articulated and commodified by memory industries including publishing, tourism and entertainment.

I'm endlessly curious about the stories we choose to tell, and fascinated by those we don't. Historypunk is a journal of my ongoing adventures in history.
